Why 3-4 months is one of the best ages to have your baby photographed

The newborn stage is a very desirable time for a parent to have their baby photographed. The problem is that many parents are so preoccupied with preparing for their baby’s introduction to the world that having professional photos of their new arrival hasn’t even occurred to them. By the time mum and dad have become acquainted with their new arrival and change of lifestyle and started thinking about a professional portrait, their baby is not a newborn anymore.

Does that resonate with you? No need to worry! If your baby is still a few months old, this might be the best time for you to get his or her portrait done. Why? While newborn photos can be lovely and very artistic, they are usually done while the baby is asleep. When they are a few months old, they have started to develop a personality and facial features. Now is a great time to capture their liveliness.

Theyusually can smile by then. And what a lovely smile it is.

They laugh and play.

Their expressions are priceless!

And because they haven’t developed the strength to crawl away, it is not a struggle to take their photos! I really enjoyed taking these babies’ photos and I look forward to taking more in the future.

Don’t let this time precious time pass by without recording them. If you would like to book your baby photography experience with me, please visit my website. I look forward to hearing from you!

A video of the gallery wall frame

I’m making more of an effort to get in front of the camera more and speak to you as a person rather than a bunch of text. I’m starting by talking about some of the products that I provide for my photography clients. This first one is about the gallery multi-picture wall frame. It really is a beauty, as you can see in the video.

Another new portrait box – the Crystal Masterpiece!

If you read one of my earlier blog posts, I was raving about a portrait box that I saw at The Photography Show. Well I finally have my own Crystal Masterpiece portrait box as a sample to show prospective clients. It is absolutely beautiful!

The one that was on display at The Photography Show had a wooden-looking material which was really striking but I chose a glittery white one for my sample. It really looks elegant.

Each mat has the same material as the box and the photo is placed behind an acrylic pane, giving it prestigious sheen unlike anything I have seen in a product like this.

Anyway, enjoy the pictures!

My first blog post

Hi guys! Here is my obligatory first blog post for my new photography business. I’ll just quickly introduce myself. My name is Perminder and I’m 36 years old. I have been working as a games programmer for 10 years and gaming has been a big passion of mine since I was a child. My career didn’t go the way I had hoped and I suffered three redundancies so I decided to set up my own photography business which I am really enthusiastic about. I will be focusing on weddings, portraits and babies.

You may be wondering why I named this Project Zero Photos. The name comes from a horror game called Project Zero in which you eradicate ghosts with your camera obscura. And there’s my link between games and photography. Plus I thought it was quite a cool name. I didn’t want to follow the convention of using Firstname Lastname Photography. I wanted the name to be different and stand out and that is what I aim to do with my photos. And don’t worry, my photography has nothing to do with horror!

Anyway, I want to keep this first post short. See you next time.
